Leflore Promise Community staff members had a blast participating in Read Across America Week at Bankston Elementary School! The students were filled with excitement as LPC team members read classic Dr. Seuss books like The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, Theres No Place Like Space, and many more. 

Read Across America Week inspires young minds and promotes literacy. By celebrating reading and instilling a passion for literature, Read Across America Week aims to empower students to become lifelong readers and learners. 

Thanks to all the LPC staff members who participated!

Delta Safe Families Child Care Health Advocate Rhonda Jenkins recently trained the staff at Care Bears Child Development Center on proper medication storage. The safest method to store medications is up and away out of childrens reach and sight. Safe Families regularly meets with child care providers, families, and communities to provide education and resources to keep Delta children safe.
