ATV Use by Dr. Dale

ATVs or 4-wheelers are fun to ride, but are potentially very dangerous sporting vehicles. Here are a few safety tips to remember. Children should not be allowed to ride without responsible adult supervision. They should ride only those designed for their size, never on an adult sized ATV. They should be thoroughly educated and show complete understanding in ATV safety before being allowed to ride them. Never allow a child to ride an ATV on or near a road where car and truck traffic is prevalent. Stay on well marked  4-wheeler trails. Do not ride up steep grades or attempt to do tricks on them. Wear a helmet! Being an ER doctor, I cannot tell you how tragic it is when a youngster gets killed or maimed for life when riding dangerously. Have fun, but be safe!

Thanks,

Dr. Dale
