Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) and the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) continue their partnership on Southern Remedy by bringing the popular radio show to MPB TV and MPB Online.

Southern Remedy: Mississippi’s Big Problem focuses on the state’s obesity epidemic and attempts to change Mississippi’s poor bill of health.

Southern Remedy sets out to modify the way Mississippians take care of themselves, using real-life stories and methods that anyone can use to lose weight. Dr. Rick DeShazo and his team traveled across the state to see the problem first-hand, as well as to meet with people working to change Mississippi’s future.
